<Steer leather>
Steer Leather is the leather of a bull that is over 2 years old and castrated between 3 and 6 months of age. Compared to calfskin or kip, it is less soft and has a finer surface texture, but it is thicker and therefore stronger. Perhaps because the bulls are castrated, the thickness and texture are relatively uniform within each hide, making it easy to handle with no waste, making it a relatively popular material.
<Tanner (leather manufacturing)>
Kodera Leather Works was founded in 1947 in Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture as a tannery of leather for clothing.
<Main tanning>
Chrome tanning is a tanning method that uses a chemical called basic chromium sulfate. Chrome tanning basically involves putting the chemicals and leather into a large drum like a washing machine, and using the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the drum to allow the chemicals to penetrate the leather.
<Leather surface>
Grain finish Grain refers to the surface of leather that has been tanned to make use of the original patterns of animal skin. It can simply refer to the surface of leather, or it can be written by replacing "gin" with "gin".
<Dyeing>
Pigment dyeing Pigment finishing is a method of applying color to the surface of leather using pigments, like painting. This method is often used for leather that shows scratches easily. Products made with pigment-finished leather can maintain their original clean condition for a long time, so they are often used for women's bags.
<Processing>
The waterproofing is treated to prevent water from penetrating underneath. (This is not permanent.)
<Features>
The leather itself is thick and soft, but the surface is wrinkle-free and has a beautiful silver finish.
Please take this opportunity to try it on in our SHOW ROOM.
